Beef Rouladen is a German meat dish consisting of bacon bits, onions, mustard and shredded dill pickles wrapped in thinly sliced beef which is pan-fried and then simmered in the richest gravy imaginable until tender.  Traditionally, Rouladen are served with Rotkohl (German Red Cabbage) and either Späetzle (Egg-Drop Dumplings) or boiled potatoes.
