Waterdown Farmers’ Market opens with music, a toast and lots of rain

The weekly market will run every Saturday from 8 am to 1 pm until mid-October

The Waterdown Farmers’ Market kicked off its 2024 season in style, with local dignitaries, the WDHS band and singers making a bright spot amid downpours that lasted throughout the day.

This is the 11th year for the market, which is operated by the Waterdown Village BIA. It will run every Saturday from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. through mid-October in the parking lot at the Watedown Legion (79 Hamilton St. North).

According to Market manager Adam Neumann, who offered a toast at the opening, over 30 vendors attend the market each week, including six new growers and half-a-dozen new food makers.
