Food Trucks at Fellowship brings food truck fare to the Ancaster Meadowlands

Event runs Thursday evenings at Meadowlands Fellowship Christian Reformed Church

If you’re looking for a break from the usual chain restaurants in the Ancaster Meadowlands, Food Trucks at Fellowship is offering some tasty Thursday night options this summer.

The food truck event at Meadowlands Fellowship Christian Reformed Church debuted July 6.

As organizer Chris Schotsman explained, it’s not a fundraiser, it’s just a fun way to connect with neighbours.

“Post-COVID, we’re trying to rebuild some community connections,” said Schotsman. “It’s not for fundraising, it’s just for community-building.”

On July 6, the stuffed. Handcrafted Perogies food truck visited the event, serving unique offerings like German schnitzel on a bun, perogy poutine, fully loaded perogies, deep-fried pickles and meat doughnuts.

For future events, Schotsman hopes to welcome Jamaican Patty Shack, offering traditional beef chicken and vegetarian patties, plus Raw Roots — a food truck that serves organic and vegan-friendly options like smoothies, juices and vegan-friendly, plant-based items.

Food Trucks at Fellowship continues each Thursday afternoon, 4:30 to 6:30 p.m. at Meadowlands Fellowship Christian Reformed Church, 211 Stonehenge Dr., Ancaster.
