A Pop-Up Perogy Dinner fundraiser for the Living Rock Youth Centre in Downtown Hamilton was held on August 3rd by Stuffed. Handcrafted Perogies.  The famous food truck whipped up Grab & Go style meals with two menu options.  Customers could choose between a Perogy Dinner with either Oktoberfest Sausage or City Chicken (breaded pork on a stick) that included Cheddar Cheese & Potato Perogies, a Pork & Rice Cabbage Roll, Kapusta (roasted sauerkraut) or Haluski (fried cabbage and noodles) and Fresh Rye Bread for $16.00.   Additional meals could also be purchased and donated towards the Share a Meal Program to help feed local youth.

A second Pop-Up Perogy Dinner was also held on September 7th.  Customers chose between a Perogy Dinner with Dill Pickle Meatloaf or City Chicken accompanied by Cheddar Cheese Perogies, a Pork & Rice Cabbage Roll, Potato Dumplings, Cucumber Salad, and Fresh Rye Bread with a Caramelized Onion Spread.

Living Rock Ministries provides essential support services to vulnerable youth between the ages of 13-25, who are affected by significant risk factors such as loss of family, poverty, substance misuse and mental health.  These youth need support to navigate the social systems to find ways to meet their basic needs of food, education and shelter.  If you would like to learn more or make a donation, please visit their website at www.LivingRock.ca.
